What Do You Know About Garden Rue As Impressive Lice Killer?

Garden rue also known as ruta graveoleons, rue or herb-of-grace is an ornamental plant as well as a herb. It is a plant which is ash-green in color. 

The leaves emit a very strong, disagreable odor and have a biter taste. 

The tiny leaves are arranged alternately on the stem and the yellow flowers are terminally located.

4 Medicinal Uses of Garden Rue or Ruta Graveolens:

  • Promotes menstrual flow.
  • Removes intestinal worms.
  • Effective in killing lice.
  • Removes ringworm and fungal skin problems.

How to Use Garden Rue:

  • Taking 2 cups of tea from the leaves promotes menstrual flow. Avoid stronger doses.
  • Boiling 20 grams of leaves in 1 liter water mixed with vegetable oil is used for intestinal worms. The dose to be taken is 1 or 2 tablespoon a day.
  • The same infusion above is effective for killing lice.
  • Decoction of 20 grams of Garden Rue in 1 liter of water is prepared as a wash for ringworm and other fungal skin problems.
